Eschscholzia californica
California poppy is a non-narcotic sedative that's safe for kids 4+. It helps with falling asleep and with nighttime waking. Often combined with chamomile or lemon balm in commercial sleep formulas.
Typical pediatric dose
Tincture: 5 drops in water at bedtime for kids 6+. Look for kid-formulated brands.
Safety notes
Avoid combining with prescription sedatives. Pregnancy contraindicated.
