Iron (chelated)

Iron deficiency mimics anxiety symptoms in kids: irritability, poor focus, fatigue, sleep problems, restless legs. Have it tested before guessing. Chelated iron is gentlest on the stomach.

Typical pediatric dose

Only supplement after a blood test. Typical pediatric dose: 3-6 mg/kg/day under medical supervision.

Safety notes

Iron poisoning is the leading cause of accidental child poisoning. Lock it up. Don't combine with calcium-rich meals.
